Today, Santander announced it is reducing its 5 year fixed rate to below 5% (25 Sept 2023). Santander isn’t stopping there it is also reducing all residential and BTL fixed rates across its new business and product transfer ranges. Sub-5% deals are very welcome, and hopefully, we will see mortgage lenders following suit.
